Las Vegas nightlife is experiencing significant changes with recent venue transformations and updates. In recent weeks, there’s been quite a bit of action in the nightlife scene, reflecting the constant evolution found within Las Vegas casinos and their surrounding entertainment hubs. One of the most significant updates is the closure of Drai’s Beachclub and Nightclub at the Cromwell. This iconic establishment has been evicted from its rooftop location, where it has thrived since 2014, as the Cromwell undergoes a transformation into the Vanderpump Hotel. Owned by Caesars Entertainment, this change involves repurposing the space for new developments that will shift the energy of the local gaming and hospitality landscape.

Drai’s will officially close its rooftop location on October 31, with only the nightclub section reopening a couple of days later in the basement. This marks a significant downsizing, with space reduced from 65,000 square feet combined indoor and outdoor areas to just 13,000 square feet in the basement—a mere one-fifth of the original size! Looking ahead, when the Cromwell reopens as the Vanderpump Hotel in summer 2026, the area previously occupied by Drai’s Beachclub will feature a sophisticated new pool, aiming to enhance the resort’s appeal.

Recent Changes to Other Popular Venues

Another notable shift in the Vegas nightlife landscape is the reopening of the Clique Bar & Lounge at the Cosmopolitan. This venue closed for extensive renovations on May 1, led by design firm Petermax Co. The revamped space features lush banquettes and private areas, creating an inviting atmosphere for social gatherings.

Additionally, the XS nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas has announced plans for a 90-day renovation starting next August, coincidence that happens just in time for its upcoming 18th anniversary celebration on New Year’s Eve.
